A run-flat insert is a ring of high-strength segmented nylon that bolts together inside the tyre, around the wheel. With the tyre inflated it does nothing; when the tyre is punctured, shot out or shredded, the vehicle settles onto the insert and keeps driving — steering, braking and accelerating with control — instead of stopping where it is. That is the difference between a vehicle that gets its passengers out of a situation and one that becomes part of it, which is why inserts of this type are standard on cash-in-transit, VIP protection, government, NGO field and expedition vehicles worldwide.

Sizing and fitting

Tell us the wheel diameter and tyre size (e.g. 265/65 R17) for each axle and we will confirm the insert size and quantity. Fitting requires the tyre to be removed from the wheel; we can recommend fitters in Thailand or supply fitting guidance for your own workshop.
