About this product
VBMS is Merlin's complete vehicle battery management system for defence and security platforms. A DataCell IIe monitor tracks every bank; intelligently controlled power gateways then decide where charge goes, which banks supplement the load during silent watch, and when a bank must be isolated to protect it. Crews control the banks from a central dash panel, and the whole system is configured in software for the vehicle type and mission profile.
The operational results are measurable: 25–50% longer silent watch through power sharing, no unexpected brownouts of radios or sensors, less engine running to recharge, fewer battery replacements and lower maintenance. VBMS is fielded across NATO platforms and is manufactured to military specification under ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
