Every product we sell carries its manufacturer’s warranty, and Drake Marine is your single point of contact for it. You deal with us in Trang, in Thai or English, not with a call centre abroad. This page explains how a claim works, what is covered and what each brand publishes.
How a warranty claim works
- Tell us. Message LINE @drakeco, WhatsApp or email hello@drakemarine.com with your order number (or the product serial number), a short description of the fault and a photo or video. We reply within one working day.
- We diagnose with you. Many faults are settings or installation, and an engineer will often resolve them on LINE the same day. If the product needs to come back, we tell you exactly what to send and how.
- We handle the manufacturer. We file the claim with the brand, chase it and keep you informed. You never have to deal with the factory yourself.
- Repair, replace or refund. Within the manufacturer’s warranty period a confirmed defect is repaired or replaced; where neither is possible we refund. For a product that arrives faulty, incorrectly supplied or damaged, we also arrange and pay for the return and you choose a replacement or a full refund — see the Returns & Refunds Policy.
What is covered
Warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship for the period the manufacturer publishes, from the date of purchase. They do not cover wear items (anodes are consumables by design), physical damage, immersion of equipment not designed for it, or damage from incorrect installation, wiring or charging — which is why we check every system we supply and brief your electrician or yard on request. If Drake Marine installed it, our workmanship is covered as well: talk to us.
By brand
| Brand | Warranty | How we handle it |
|---|---|---|
| Sleipner (Side-Power) thrusters, stabilisers and windlasses | Sleipner publishes two years for leisure use and one year for commercial use from the date of purchase | Claims filed with Sleipner by us; spare parts from the Sleipner catalogue on this site; diagnosis on LINE first |
| Fullriver batteries | As published by Fullriver for the series; stated on your invoice and quotation | We test the battery in Trang and file the claim; sealed AGM and gel batteries ship as non-hazardous goods, so a return is straightforward |
| KISAE inverters, chargers and DC-DC chargers | As published in the KISAE owner’s manual supplied with the product and linked on every product page | Drake is KISAE’s distributor for Thailand: claims are handled here, not overseas |
| Merlin monitoring and protection | As published by Merlin; stated on your invoice and quotation | Claims filed with Merlin by us |
| Liqui Moly lubricants and additives | Factory-sealed genuine product supplied through the Thai importer; approvals listed on each product page | Any pack that is damaged or not as described is replaced or refunded under the Returns & Refunds Policy |
| MG Duff anodes, Cathelco, Dr. Shrink and other brands | Manufacturer’s warranty where the product is not a consumable | Contact us with the order number and we confirm the cover and handle the claim |
Where a brand’s warranty period is not shown on the product page, ask us on LINE and we confirm it in writing before you order. Nothing on this page limits your statutory rights under Thai consumer protection law.
Returns
