Diese einzigartigen DC/DC-Ladegeräte ermöglichen das Laden von Batterien über zwei unabhängige Gleichstromquellen: entweder über ein oder mehrere Photovoltaik-Solarmodule im Stand oder über den Motor/die Lichtmaschine während der Fahrt. Ideal zum Laden von Batterien in Booten, Wohnmobilen, Transportern und Lkw.

Wiring: cable and fuse sizes
From the KISAE DMT12100 installation manual (Recommended Cable Length, Size and Fuse Protection) — the manual itself is under Downloads:

Keep the CH1 run to the house battery as short as possible, and fit a DC-rated disconnect switch on each battery feed as KISAE recommends. For longer runs size the cable at 3 % voltage drop with our cable size calculator.
Solar array: what fits the MPPT input
- PV input 14.5–55 V. Open-circuit voltage must stay under 55 V — the unit shuts down above 55 V and restarts at 48 V — so wire 12 V-nominal panels in parallel; two 60-cell or 72-cell panels in series exceed the limit.
- Maximum input current 80 A. The specification lists 1,200 W as the maximum array on a 12 V system; KISAE’s example layouts are six 200 W 12 V panels in parallel, or 3P2S.
- In Thailand, roughly 4.5–5 peak-sun hours a day means each 100 W of panel returns about 350–450 Wh on a clear day, before the fridge, fans and lights are counted — the dual-battery guide works through a two-week trip.
Smart alternator and ignition wiring
For a vehicle with a smart (variable-voltage) alternator, set the charger to P2L and connect Com 1 to a signal above 8 V (17 V maximum) that is live only when the engine runs. The Ignition Start port switches the unit on with a signal above 8 V — KISAE recommends the vehicle’s ignition signal. Both are in the manual under Downloads; if you send us the vehicle model we will mark the wires up for you.
Complete the system
A 100 A charger wants a house bank whose maker allows 100 A of charge current — check the battery data sheet; a single 145–210 Ah battery is usually better matched to the DMT1250 oder DMT1230. Typical pairings: Fullriver DC145-12, DC210-12 oder DC260-12 AGM house batteries; the DMTRM1201 remote display for the dash; and a Merlin SmartGauge to read true state of charge. The BTS-10K temperature sensor is included.

Choose the output by the house battery bank and the alternator: a bigger bank recharges faster with more amps, and the charger should draw comfortably less than the alternator can give. Tell us the vehicle or boat, the alternator and the bank on LINE and we will confirm the model.
Questions
Will it charge lithium (LiFePO4) batteries?
Yes. Lithium is one of the selectable battery types, alongside Gel, AGM and Flooded, and Program mode lets you set the charge voltage your battery maker specifies.
Does it work with a smart (variable-voltage) alternator?
Yes. Wire the Control terminal to an ignition or engine-running signal and the charger keeps charging when the alternator voltage drops.
